Here Comes the Summer

Right after all my friends got back from their perspective schools for the summer, we packed up my moms mini van and drove the 18 hours to Washington state to see the house I lived in for three years before it sold. We visited family friends and the beautiful island I lived on for three years.

Road trip lunch-stops at In-n-Out
Our first morning on the Island drinking coffee at an amazing restaurant before our food got there.

Our nest in the house I grew up in
The most beautiful greenhouse!
We went to a farm that I used to go to when I was a kid and saw cute puppies, goats, and chickens!
My family friends have the sweetest goats! This one's name is patches
2 outfits I wore-- Right I have my Marimekko swimsuit on as a top
More greenhouse pictures--it was so beautiful
1. It was pretty cold the whole time we were there but we still made it out to the beach // 2. These damn goats!!!!! Gigi got inside the wheelbarrow! // 3. we had the most amazing meals every night! look at this beautiful vegetable tart! I'm salivating remembering how good it was.
In the bed I used to sleep in
We made it down to the section of beach property that goes along with the house--there's a beautiful overgrown boat house and an abandoned shack.

One day it was actually nice enough for us to sunbathe by the pool--Claire and Natalie even got in. I sunbathed and read my book.
Claire matched the indigo exhibit at the Asian Art museum! This room had dried indigo plants and the sounds of indigo dying--a beautiful installation!
Even though it was such a short trip it was so fun to see the island again and relax and show my friends the beautiful place I grew up! There were stressful moments and Claire got sick, but all in all I at least had an amazing time...I miss it looking through all these photos.
