I finally actually had time to do things on thursday (even though I thought I would have no time. I was supposed to have a track meet, but after the bus drove us an hour to the meet, we found out it was actually on a different day, so we drove an hour back. Then I did the only piece of homework I had and whipped out some glitter and all the fruit/veggies we had readily available and did this shoot.
I was inspired by one of the images in my last post, but ultimately tried to make it my own.
Unfortunately for me, as it is glitter...it literally got EVERYWHERE in my kitchen and I keep finding bits of it in my hair and on my clothes (clothes that I wasn't even wearing when I did the shoot) God it's a nightmare. I vacuumed the kitchen FOUR times...but it's still all over.
Anyway, here are the pictures:
Ugh. Even though it's been break all week I've done basically nothing noteworthy. To tell the truth, all I've done is eat food, write nonsensical journal entry, tie-dyeing (and managing to stain my hands), and lastly and mostly watching SO. MUCH. Castle. Literally just sitting on the couch, stuffing my face, watching episode after episode of Castle.
Anyway, it's very very addicting haha. But today I worked on my AP art concentration idea and I just got so inspired by the colour schemes on my tumblr so I put it all together. Sorry I don't have anything that I've made, as I said, I've been swamped...sort of...
I promise cool posts soon!

Around christmas time, my cousin and I decided, inspired by a bunch of awesome music vides, that we should make our own. Ava found the song (which I'm now learning to play on guitar) and we set to work. We went to the rose garden and took some videos and filled in the rest in my room with new outfits. I finally got around to finishing the edits today actually and I'm realllllly proud of it so I hope you guys like it.
It's really aesthetically pleasing, I think, but maybe doesn't go really that much with the song? Idk I think the visuals are sort of similar to the idea. Anyway. I hope you like it.
Here are some of Ava's and my inspiration for this:

HEY! YAY! It finally hasn't been a million years since I've last posted! I actually have had this post semi-ready since the last post, and sort of stewing in the back of my mind for a while, but never got around to it. But FINALLY, FINALLY I've got to it!
Like most Teen Bloggers (yes, this is a proper noun now)/Rookies, I am OBSESSED with Meadham Kirchhoff. I think one of the hardest thing about being this German designer duo's fan is learning to spell that name. Are there two R's? Which has the double letters? Which letters are they? To avoid embarrassment, I suggest carrying a smartphone around at all times in order to do a covert spell check whenever needed. Worse, though, is pronunciation. You can't search up pronunciation on your iPhone and easily listen to it before answering a "Who is your favourite designer?" and you end up spluttering "um...uh...meed-ham-kirk-shoff?" and receive a forced smile as the question-er backs away to find more adequately informed folks.
Luckily, I've found this youtube channel, which has helped me immensely in the world of internet exploring and difficult foreign fashion designer's names. Listen to the below video a few times and commit the name to memory. This way, you'll never be in the sticky situation of having to answer about your favourite designer in REAL LIFE and just blurting out "Alexander McQueen", to avoid the embarrassment of mispronunciation.
But liking loving being obsessed with Meadham Kirchhoff is a whole lot more than blush-enducing pronunciation mistakes. I actually drool every time I see their amazing collections. When Rookie does little "behind the scenes of Meadham Kirchhoff's shows".. I'm going to be honest, I pee myself a little. Their collections (especially those in the last few years) are amazingly beautiful and intricate, and make me believe for sure that fashion is an art form.
When I saw this video on their website, tears were shed. I am so inspired and awed by Meadham Kirchhoff's existence, that basically everything they do brings me to an emotional paroxysm.
Anyway, here are some of my favourites of their pieces. There's some from 2010 until the present. Their work really is amazing, I hope it inspires you as much as it inspires me:
